Our vineyard is planted in Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Merlot across a 3 hectare block.

 

We embrace the Te Ao Māori concept of ki uta ki tai - the understanding that what starts on or is done to the land, will run to the tide or the sea.

 

Our property is fortunate to have a stream running at the bottom of our hill. This stream originates at Awaawaroa and continues through the native ngahere, joining the cascades before running out into Te Marae-o-tai. Kōkopu, tuna and kōura live in the stream.

 

We take on the role of kaitiaki of the whenua and the surrounding moana, and have only used organic inputs on the vineyard since December 2021.

 

We aim to become certified organic after a three year transition period.
