THE PROPERTY
The 8.5 hectare property includes 3.5 hectares of native ngahere, home to many native rakau and manu such as Kākā, Weka, Kererū and Tui. The Te Ara Hura public walking track runs through the property making us as great stop off destination if walking the track.
Pā and other archaeological sites in the area indicate extensive settlement dating back hundreds of years. This is easy to consider, with the line of sight views stretching to the prominent tribal maunga of Nga Pona Toru a Peretu and Kohukohunui, and across to Te Moengahau-o-Tamatekapua. Closer views on Waiheke extend to Te Pūtiki o Kahumatamomoe, Maunganui and Pukeokai. These sacred maunga form our landscape and our identity, as shown in our “fingerprint” logo
